The Old House is ideal for….family holiday base, reunions and celebrations, anniversary celebrations, romantic breaks or simply to relax, recuperate and to reflect in the wonderful walled garden. We offer luxury bed and breakfast and self- catering holiday cottage accommodation nestling at the foot of the Quantock Hills at The Old House in Nether Stowey. Our Quantocks bed and breakfast offers two luxury bedrooms, once frequented by the romantic poet Samuel Coleridge.
It was from here he enjoyed the beauty of the countryside on long walks over the hills to Porlock. This is now the popular Coleridge Way walk enjoyed by many visitors to the area. We are only four miles from the coast with many other beautiful walks. The Quantock Hills ‘Area of Outstanding National Beauty’ (AONB) was the first to be designated in England. Visit Kilve Beach on the stunning Jurassic North Somerset coast or Watchet Harbour for a relaxing evening by the sea or a quiet stroll on the Quantock Hills. The Old House cottages and B&B are close to local wedding venues including Quantock Lakes and Combe House Hotel. We are an ideal location for short breaks. We are 4 miles from Hinkley Point C and central to pick up points. Many walks to Holford , Kilve the combes leading up to the Quantock Hills.

We have three beautiful holiday cottages for the perfect stay near the Quantock Hills Somerset. We offer short breaks ( min 3 nights) in low and mid season but 7 nights only in high season Stable Cottage is a rose covered stable conversion, full of character with a double and twin bedroom. The Garden Wing provides a stunning ground floor holiday cottage with a double bedroom overlooking the delightful walled garden. The House Keeper’s Quarters offers great historical charm in the top floor of The Old House with a double and twin bedrooms

In recent years The Coleridge Way has become one of the favourite 3 – 5 day walks in the country. The National Trust Coleridge Cottage in the village draws in many thousands of visitors each year. Guests also delight in a number of local heritage sites both in the Quantocks and the surrounding area
